First Post

Its Wednesday morning and neither of us feel like we had a lot of sleep.
We left the house at about 6.30am arriving at the hospital at the time assigned of 7.30am.
The trouble was then finding an open door! It was a bit frustrating not being able to gain entry through the door that we wanted to and then having to park at the far end and have a half mile hike to the ward.
Then you go through all of that and then meet a junior doctor followed by the anesthetiser within half an hour of arriving and then that's it - we both want to just sit here and fall asleep now as from what we have been told the surgery probably will not take place until this afternoon.
We also found out that there is still a chance of cancelation if there are no beds available in intensive care. Because it is not a life threatening condition then obviously if there was a last minute emergency we would both be heading home today and Loretta would just have to take all the nasty lemon surgery op prep drink again which I know would not please her.
She is understandably in full panic mode right now and is "scared" - we all would be.
It is nearly 9.30am and the wait continues.
